Dr. James Howard is an assistant professor of soft tissue surgery at The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center. He earned his veterinary degree from Ohio State and completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at the University of Tennessee. He then returned to Ohio State to complete a surgical residency and remained there for a clinical instructorship. His research interests include hepatobiliary and gastrointestinal surgery, as well as endocrinopathies. Dr. Howard's ongoing research includes minimally invasive diagnostic procedures, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and evaluative hepatobiliary sampling techniques.
